Strontian sits in a sheltered location on the shore of beautiful Loch Sunart, and is the perfect base for exploring the numerous attractions of the Ardnamurchan pensinsula.
Within a 10 minute walk of Ronaldsay there are two village shops, a pub/restaurant and the village cafe, with other restaurants slightly further afield.
The whole area is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise, with sailing, kayaking and numerous off-road cycling tracks. There is good sea fishing in Loch Sunart, and the local river has salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing. There are also numerous lochs with good brown trout fishing.
About 30 miles west of Strontian is Ardnamurchan point, with the beautiful Sanna Bay nearby.
Around the cabin there is abundant wildlife, with pine martens, wildcats and golden eagles often being spotted.
